FAQs
Questions before you start.
If you are unsure what you need, you can still contact us. A quick description or photo of the collection is often enough to begin.
Common questions
A practical guide to getting started.
These can be edited or expanded as your service offer becomes clearer.
Do I need to organise everything before contacting you?
No. A rough idea is enough. You can send a quick phone photo of the box, album or collection and we will guide you from there.
Will I get my original photographs back?
Yes. Your original photographs, albums, slides or negatives are returned to you after the work is complete.
Can you scan albums without removing every photograph?
In many cases we can digitise album pages and preserve the layout, captions and handwriting. If individual scanning is better, we will explain the options.
Can you restore damaged or faded photographs?
Yes. Restoration is quoted according to the condition of the image and the level of repair needed.
Can you create prints, frames or keepsakes?
Yes. We can create reprints, framed photographs, family archive boxes, storybooks and other keepsakes using your digitised or restored images.
How do I send my photographs to you?
We can discuss the safest option for your project, including local collection, drop-off or tracked courier where appropriate.
How much will it cost?
It depends on the quantity, condition and type of work needed. We provide guide prices and confirm a quote before starting.
