FAQs

Questions before you start.

If you are unsure what you need, you can still contact us. A quick description or photo of the collection is often enough to begin.

Common questions

A practical guide to getting started.

These can be edited or expanded as your service offer becomes clearer.

Do I need to organise everything before contacting you?

No. A rough idea is enough. You can send a quick phone photo of the box, album or collection and we will guide you from there.

Will I get my original photographs back?

Yes. Your original photographs, albums, slides or negatives are returned to you after the work is complete.

Can you scan albums without removing every photograph?

In many cases we can digitise album pages and preserve the layout, captions and handwriting. If individual scanning is better, we will explain the options.

Can scanning be the whole order?

Yes. You can simply receive organised digital files for sharing, backup, a slideshow or everyday viewing. No print or frame is required.

Can restoration be supplied as a digital file?

Yes. The restored digital file can be the complete order. Printing and framing are optional.

Can you help with photographs for a funeral slideshow?

Yes. Include the date when you enquire and we will confirm what can realistically be scanned and supplied in time.

Can you work from a recent digital file?

Yes. We can restore, prepare, print or frame photographs supplied digitally, including portraits and pet memorial images.

How do I send my photographs to you?

We can discuss the safest option for your project, including local collection, drop-off or tracked courier where appropriate.

How much will it cost?

It depends on the quantity, condition and type of work needed. We provide guide prices and confirm a quote before starting.
